TUESDAY

11:39 a.m. - A caller complained about a local petroleum supplier’s fuel tanker doing 66 mph on Highway 395 coming into Stanfield from Interstate 84. That section of 395 has a 45 mph speed limit that drops to 30 mph a you enter Stanfield.

11:55 a.m. - Law enforcement received a complaint about a semi hauling an oversized load going 75-plus mph west on Interstate 84 near milepost 188. The big rig straddled the center line and pushed other semis to the shoulder, the caller reported, and two pilot cars trailed behind.

12:45 p.m. - A caller on Steagall Road, Irrigon, reported someone came up behind him and hit him in the back of the head. The victim said he was not sure he needed medical attention nor what hit him, but the suspect had a cane.

2:01 p.m. - Staff at McKay Creek Elementary School, 1539 S.W. 44th St., Pendleton, asked for the school resource officer to deal with an out-of-control 12-year-old student.

2:18 p.m. - A Hermiston resident told police someone used his bank card at three locations in town and his bank asked him to file a police report.

3:03 p.m. - Two dogs on Northwest Shobe Street, Heppner, killed the neighbors’ chickens and tried to go after the neighbors.

4:13 p.m. - A 911 caller reported another driver tried to force him off the road in Umatilla at Sixth and Yerxa streets. The caller said this could be a case of road rage.

7:23 p.m. - An Irrigon resident asked to talk to a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy about the theft of her phone. The deputy contacted her, but she decided to try to handle the problem on her own.

9:24 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of parents on Southwest Ladow Avenue keeping their kindergarten-aged boy out of the house until he was yelling and screaming to get inside. The caller said the boy was outside in shorts and a T-shirt for at least 10 minutes.

11:16 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Long Branch Cafe & Saloon, 201 E. Main St., Weston, on a report of a prowler but did not find a suspect.

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

•Pendleton police arrested Jonathan David Brewer, 37, of Pendleton, for felony methamphetamine possession.
