7:43 a.m. — Hermiston police responded to a report of a burglary on the 1700 block of North First Street.

8:34 a.m. — The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an illegal kill of a two-point elk off Forest Service Road 21 near the Morrow County OHV Park, Heppner. The sheriff’s office notified the fish and game division of Oregon State Police.

10:33 a.m. — Stanfield police received a request for extra patrols along Copper Corner on West Furnish Avenue due to problems with transients using the laundry rooms.

12:59 p.m. — A Boardman resident on Ridge Crest Lane asked to speak to law enforcement about the theft of a goat.

1:24 p.m. — Umatilla police received a report from Two Rivers Correctional Institution, 82911 Beach Access Road, about a letter from an inmate requesting police contact.

6:15 p.m. — A trucking company complained to Umatilla police about the staff at the Umatilla Port of Entry on Highway 730 for giving a citation to a truck driver.

8:54 p.m. — A caller in Heppner reported someone dumped a gill net with floaters behind the high school.

10:30 p.m. — Pendleton police responded to a report of domestic violence on Northwest Eighth Street.

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Shane Lance Purcell, 34, Athena, for felony cocaine possession and unlawful possession of marijuana, and Michael Joseph Ortiz, 51, of Pendleton, for theft by receiving, dangerous drugs and criminal activity in drugs.
