•A Hepper man at 3:18 p.m. reported someone broke into his house recently while he was gone. He said burglaries seemed to be happening a lot in Heppner.

•A caller at 3:35 p.m. told Hermiston police someone may have stolen his vehicle from West Ridgeway Avenue. He then said the person who took it called him, and he might call back if he needs to report the vehicle stolen.

•An employee of the Umatilla County Assessment and Taxation Department, 216 S.E. Fourth St., Pendleton, told police at 4:30 p.m. that a couple threatened to blow up the courthouse. Police contacted the couple at their home outside Pendleton They told police they were frustrated with taxes but did not make a direct threat.

•Pendleton police at 5:08 p.m. received a report of a man beating a dog on the 1500 block of Southwest Emigrant Avenue. An officer found the man who said he tried to keep his dog from attacking another dog.



•Pendleton police arrested Danny Wayne Berentsen, 46, no address provided, for driving under the influence intoxicants and refusing to take an intoxication level test.

•An employee of Denny’s restaurant, 2265 S. Highway 395, Hermiston, at 3:44 p.m. reported a man passed two fake $50 bills in the bar Wednesday night and made the comment he would return Thursday. Hermiston police arrested Christopher Jason Forman, 38, of 365 N.W. 11th St., Hermiston, for first-degree forgery, second-degree theft, carrying a concealed knife and felon in possession of a weapon.

•Stanfield police arrested Michael Ray Gibbs, 46, no address provided, for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at 9:16 p.m. at Main and North Front streets, Echo.
