THURSDAY

•Milton-Freewater police received two calls from residents reporting their vehicles broken into and items stolen, one at 7:16 a.m. and the second at 8:56 a.m.

•Hermiston police received a call at 12:32 p.m. from a resident of East McKenzie Avenue who said his vehicle was broken into and $150 cash was stolen.

•An employee at Bake’s Restaurant and Motel, 100 E. Highway 730, Irrigon, reported the theft of a TV from one of the motel rooms at 1:46 p.m. The caller also said she kicked some people out three days prior and they took pillows and linens from the room.

•The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 1:56 p.m. from a Pilot Rock man who said an unknown male drove onto his property in the 63600 block of East Birch Creek Road and pulled a gun on him. A deputy took a report.

•A member of Calvary Church, 1909 S.W. Athens Ave., Pendleton, called Pendleton police at 4 p.m. to report the theft of the church’s enclosed single-axle utility trailer from the church parking lot.

•A Hermiston man called at 11:45 p.m. to report his truck had been vandalized with Saran wrap, chili paste/tomato sauce, maxi pads and window paint, but said no damage had been done. He requested extra patrols in the vicinity of Northwest Third Street because this was the third time his vehicle has been vandalized while parked at that address. A Hermiston police officer took a complaint report.

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

Thursday

•Umatilla police cited and released Honorio Sanchez Flores, age and address not provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•A Pendleton police officer witnessed a hit-and-run in the 300 block of South Main Street at 3:39 p.m. Shaleene Kay Hopkins, 27, of Milton-Freewater was arrested on charges of duii and failure to perform duties of driver-property damage, and lodged in the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.

•Oregon State Police arrested Jacob Allen Gornick, 20, address not provided, on charges of possession of methamphetamine. Oregon State Police also arrested Brandon James Michaud, 37, address not provided, on charges of felon in possession of restricted weapon and possession of methamphetamine. Both are lodged in the Umatilla County Jail.

•Hermiston police arrested Spencer Monroe Strong, 22, 139 N.E. Johnson, Myrtle Creek, on charges of attempting to elude police-vehicle and possession of methamphetamine. An in-state hold also was placed at the Umatilla County Jail.

•Hermiston police cited and released Anthony Ruben Rodriguez, 227 W. Hartley Ave., Hermiston, for duii.
