MONDAY

•A caller at 12:30 a.m. reported cars were drag racing near Chateaubri Mobile Home Park, 1030 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston. The caller also said a taxi business was part of the problem.

•Moving proved to be a downer for one Pendleton man. He called police at 6:23 a.m. and reported he moved from his friend's residence in late May, and while unpacking discovered his smart phone, an Internet router, two pocket knives and a flashlight — total value about $700 — were missing.

•A city of Weston employee at 8:23 a.m. reported someone again shot the public works building on South Water Street with paint balls. The balls even chipped paint off the building.

•A Hermiston woman at 10:43 a.m. reported a vandal during the night slashed tires on her four vehicles on East Punkin Center Road and even got the tires on the lawnmower.

•Three teenage boys at about 1:40 p.m. cussed and called names at parents and children at Butte Park, Northwest Seventh Street, Hermiston.

•A Jack Russell terrier before 2 p.m. bit a mail carrier on the hand on Appleton Road, Milton-Freewater. The carrier stayed on the route and did not seek medical treatment at the time but could require tetanus shots. The carrier also asked to speak to law enforcement.

•A Pendleton woman at 2:03 p.m. asked police to trespass a man from her property on Southeast Third Street because he digs there and will not leave.

•A fire took off at about 3:40 p.m. in the field across from the Boise Cascade Kinzua Lumber Mill, 600 N.W Cedar St. Pilot Rock fire and other agencies responded to contain and extinguish the blaze.

•Hermiston police at 4:45 p.m. received a report of a sex crime.

•A Pendleton woman on Northwest 15th Street told police at 7:15 p.m. she discovered the back window of her vehicle was shattered.

•A caller at 7:50 p.m. told Pendleton police a stranger walked up to him at Southwest Goodwin Avenue and 10th Street and asked if he wanted to buy a TV “really cheap.” The seller was a white male with brown hair and a goatee, stood about 5 feet 10 inches tall and wore a black and yellow Oregon Ducks sweatshirt and an Oregon Ducks hat. Police did not find the man.

•Someone at about 11:10 p.m. stole a gray 1990 Nissan pickup from Elizabeth Drive, Stanfield.

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

•Hermiston police arrested Cody Runion, 28, of 631 N.W. Third St., Hermiston, for driving under the influence of intoxicants, second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment. His ex-girlfriend at 2:41 a.m. reported Runion came to her residence, where he tried to run over her new boyfriend and fought with him.

•The Morrow County Sheriff's Office arrested a juvenile male after a caller at 8:29 a.m. reported someone spray-painted an RV camper on Northeast Washington Avenue, Irrigon. The sheriff's office received multiple reports of spray paint graffiti in Irrigon, including on a vehicle on Northeast Eighth Street, on the 600 block of Northeast Main Avenue at the skate park and on a garbage container at Riverview Mobile Home Park, 1370 Highway 730.
