Feb. 12, 1960-Jan. 17, 2007

STANFIELD -Local drummer Russell G. "Russ" Pollick, died Jan. 17, 2007, at Good Shepherd Medical Center. He was 46.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the Hermiston Eagles Lodge No. 2909.

Mr. Pollick was born Feb. 12, 1960, in Hermiston, to J.T. and Ilene Cumberworth Pollick.

He was raised and attended school in Stanfield. He worked as a mechanic and for Bart Starr Construction. He later worked as a welder and fabricator. He was also worked in the construction of the Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla.

Mr. Pollick married Renee Hughes on Dec. 8, 1981, in Richland, Wash.

He enjoyed music and was the drummer in a local band "Hired Guns".

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting, motorcycles, camping, traveling, poker, and video games.

He is survived by his wife; mother Ilene Trumble of Orofino, Idaho; son William Pollick of Stanfield; daughter Tamara Pollick of Hermiston; brothers Dan Pollick of Peck, Idaho and Tony Pollick of Orofino; sisters Sherri Bean of Asotin, Wash., and Codi Bird of Orofino; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in care of Burns Mortuary of Hermiston, P. O. Box 289, Hermiston, 97838.
