May 20, 1938-March 13, 2005

Word has been received of the death of Russell Skinner, 65, of Snohomish, Wash., a former Pilot Rock resident, on Sunday, March 13, 2005.

The funeral was held March 19 in Seattle.

Mr. Skinner was born May 20, 1938, at Macks Creek, Mo.

He was active in real estate for 35 years. He sold real estate for 20 years as a representative of Century 21, then worked for John L. Scott and Richard James. Fifteen years ago, he started Accurate Appraisals Inc., at Woodinville, Wash.

He loved working on cars and working in his yard, liked watching sports, especially the Seahawks and Mariners, and traveling with his wife and dog in their motorhome. Ocean Shores was a favorite weekend destination.

He was said to be a kind, gentle, and respected man.

Survivors include his wife, Ginnie; daughter, Kristin Skinner, sons, Derek Skinner and Keith Skinner; stepdaughters, Robyn Eddy and Rhonda Howeiler, grandchildren, Miranda, Holly, Suzanne and Thomas; and sisters, Chris Nickles, Bonita Sams and Dena Spack.
