PENDLETON - Thomas C. Emery, 76, a Pendleton resident since August, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in Pendleton. Mr. Emery was a former resident of Temperance, Mich.
A graveside service for Mr. Emery, followed by inurnment, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 8, at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio.
He was born Oct. 23, 1927, at Toledo, Ohio, to Raymond and Marie Ollis Emery.
During World War II, he served with the U.S. Coast Guard, and later as a paratrooper with the Army 11 Airborne Division. He had also served as a Merchant Marine.
Mr. Emery was a graduate of Oregon Technical Institute at Klamath Falls. He worked for several years in Michigan for General Mills Corporation as a Stationary Engineer.
He was married to the former Arleen Altaffer, who died February 15, 2004.
Survivors include daughters Christina Pasillas and Nancy Gomez both of Klamath Falls, and Georgianna Emery of Pendleton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinsons Disease Foundation.
Bishop Funeral Chapel of Pendleton was in charge of local arrangements.
