PENDLETON - William "Bill" Fowler, 76, of Pendleton, died Thursday, March 20, 2003, at St. Anthony Hospital.

The funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton with burial at the Umatilla Indian Agency Cemetery at Mission.

Mr. Fowler was born Sept. 7, 1926, at Banning, Calif., to Mr. and Mrs. James Fowler.

He worked as a desk clerk at the Grove Hotel in Portland for many years.

Mr. Fowler had been a resident of Pendleton for 13 years.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne, of Pendleton; sister, Mary Ammerman of Riverside, Calif.; daughters, Arlene of Riverside, Calif., and Maria Montoya and Glavis Wagner, both of Pendleton, and grandchildren, Heather Nowland, Jess Nowland, Cody Nowland, and Kallie Bunch.

Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
