PENDLETON - The Big Bend Running Vikes outshot the Blue Mountain Timberwolves 53.2 percent to 35.5 percent to while hitting nine 3-pointers to walk away with an 82-80 win Friday.

The Running Vikes shot an amazing 60.7 percent from the field in the second half.

BMCC forward Mitch Smith led the game with 20 points and added five assists while forward Jake Swartzendruber added 14 points, 10 rebounds and five assists but the Timberwolves couldn't overcome the Running Vikes' depth.

The starters for both teams totaled 47 points but the BBCC bench outscored the BMCC reserves 35-13.

The Running Vikes were led by guard Blake Solomon with 17 points on 63.6 percent shooting.
