PENDLETON - The Blue Mountain Community College men's basketball squad cruised by Everett 101-85 in the opening round of the BMCC Cross-over Tournament Thursday.

Eric Doak paced the Timberwolves with 22 points, while Jared Bligh added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Darrell Fitts contributed 18 points while Josh Knight and Mike Lott had 10 each.

The Timberwolves took a 43-38 halftime lead and outscored Everett 58-47 in the second half, shooting 52 percent from the field on the night. The team was also accurate on their 3-point shooting, going 9-for-17 from beyond the arc.

High scorer for Everett was Anthony Ditomassi with 27 points, with Josh Vanlandingham adding 17 points.

In other action, Green River beat Mt. Hood 94-88, Southwestern Oregon beat Clark 93-80 behind a 32-point performance by Jon Vinyard, and Edmonds beat Walla Walla 113-86.
