Sherman County downs Condon girls

CONDON - Despite several rally attempts the Condon girls basketball team could not overcome a strong start by Sherman County and fell 61-55 in a non-conference game Tuesday.

The Huskies led 20-7 after the first quarter and led the rest of the way.

"We dug ourselves a pretty deep hole," Condon coach Teresa Humphrey said. "It was a pretty sloppy game, but it was a good game for us because it will make it better."

Laura Olson led Sherman County's attack with 24 points. Jessica Snyder had 18 points for Condon (1-1) and Angela Anderson added 14 points.

Condon is at the Umatilla Tournament Friday and Saturday.
