Youth basketball signups scheduled

HERMISTON - Boys and girls in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades are invited to the final signup for the Hermiston Youth Basketball program Tuesday at the Hermiston High School Cafeteria next to the Gymnasium from 6-8:30 p.m.

Three-on-three series planned

SISTERS - The Central Oregon Shootout will be holding a number of 3-on-3 basketball tournaments for boys and girls in fifth through eighth grades, A and B levels, in Sisters.

The tournaments will be organized by Sisters Organization for Activities & Recreation.

The Kickoff Classic will be held Dec. 7 for fifth-eighth-grade girls using open levels. The Central Oregon Co-op Tournament will be held Dec. 14-15 for fifth-eighth grade boys, open levels. On The Pepsi-Cola Shootout will be held Dec. 21 for fifth-eighth-grade girls, with open, A and B level play.

The Hap Taylor & Sons Shootout for fifth-eighth grade boys and girls teams will be held Jan. 11-12. January 18 brings the Sweeney Pluming Shootout for boys teams in fifth-eighth grade. The Subway Shootout will follow Feb. 8-9 for boys and girls teams. Figaro's Shootout will tip off Feb. 15-16 and the Multlomah Publishers Tournament will conclude the series March 8-9.

for youth teams

The Coast to Coast Amateur Stars are now seeking 11 to 18-year-old baseball and softball players from Oregon who would like the opportunity to represent the United States and tournaments in Puerto Rico, Australia, Hawaii and Europe.

Team age groups include 11 to 12, 13 to 15, 16 to 18 for boys and 16-18 for girls.
