THE 30TH ANNUAL LOCAL EDITION OF THE HERSHEY'S TRACK AND FIELD GAMES will be held June 2 at the Pendleton High School track.

The event is open to all 9- to 14-year-olds, with registration opening that Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

Winners will advance to the state meet June 16, with a chance to make it to the North American Final Meet in Hershey, Pa.


A THREE-DAY BASEBALL CAMP will be offered for players ages 8-15 June 11-13 at Hermiston High School's Weber Field.

Campers will participate in hitting, defensive and pitching drills on the main field and in batting tunnels.

Pre-registration is $70, and registration the day of the camp is $85. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Hermiston Baseball Club.

THE HERMISTON HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS CAMP will begin June 11 and offer two weeks of tennis instruction for all ages and all skill levels.

Head girls tennis coach Curt Berger and other area tennis players will instruct the classes, which will run for an hour each morning.

Applications for the camp can be picked up at the Hermiston High School office or the Hermiston office of the East Oregonian.
