Corrected 4A state swim meet finishes

CORVALLIS - Pendleton swimmers set two school records in the Class 4A state swim meet Saturday.

T.J. Tangney's 22:32-second finish in the 50-yard freestyle event earned him a 10th-place finish, and the Bucks' 200-yard freestyle relay team's time of 1 minute, 31:87 seconds earned them eighth. The relay team lost the consolation championship by one one-hundreth of a second (The finishes were inadvertantly reversed in Sunday's story.)

Tangney placed 10th, although Pendleton coach Kevin Hamblin said his best time was actually fifth fastest in the state.

The Bucks' relay team of Jeff Comrie, Jamie Comrie, Nick Lapp and T.J. Tangney finished eighth after competing in the consolation round Saturday.

Hermiston's Mychal Bert took two third-place finishes at the Class 4A state swim meet Saturday with a time of 21:78 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and 48:38 in the 100-yard freestyle.
