PENDLETON — Matthew Dallas and Jacob Butcher completed the necessary paperwork to extend their collegiate baseball careers.

The pair of Blue Mountain sophomores each signed letters of intent with the University of Minnesota Crookston last Friday.

Butcher shared his time this season on the mound and in the outfield. He finished with a 9.52 earned run average and a.192 batting average. Dallas did not play this season but served as an assistant coach. He hit .185 during the 2014 campaign.

Minnesota Crookston is a four-year university located in northeast Minnesota. The Golden Eagles are NCAA Division II team that competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. They finished 14-36 overall on the season and 8-26 in the NSIC.

Dallas plans to major in sports management and minor in coaching. Butcher will seek a degree in golf and turf management.
