NORTH?MARION - The Dave's Food Mart 18 and under fast pitch softball team wasted no time in asserting themselves at the North Marion Alaskan Midnight Classic, beating Scappoose 13-3 and then the East County Thunder by the same score.

Leini Alger led the squad from the plate, going 2 for 3 with three RBI's and two runs while McKay was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Down 3-1 going into the third, Dave's finally figured out pitcher Tamisha Estrada and exploded for 12 runs over the next three innings and 15 total hits.

Alger, McKay, Reiley Jones and Shelby Rhinehart all were 2 for 3 at the plate while Steffane Oles was 2-2 with a double. Jones had two doubles and two RBI's.
