ASHLAND A?pair of late goals lifted the Southern Oregon womens soccer team past Eastern Oregon 2-0 on Wednesday in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships quarterfinals.
The Raiders broke a scoreless tie in the 62nd minute when Sydney Paulsen scorched the back of the net from about 20 yards out. Four minutes later Southern added an insurance goal by Chloe Welch after she took a cross from Julie Zamzow and beat EOU?goal keeper Kailey Moss from about 10 yards away. Zamzow assisted both of Southerns goals.
The Mountaineers got a couple of late scoring chances but couldnt get one in.
