EUGENE — Stanfield native and University of Montana senior Jason Flemmer finished 18th in javelin at the NCAA Division I?West Regional men’s outdoor track and field meet last Thursday in Eugene.

It was Flemmer’s second-straight regional appearance after back-to-back division javelin titles for the Grizzlies.

Flemmer’s best throw at the regionals went for 211 feet, six inches on his second attempt.

Flemmer graduated from Stanfield High in 2006 before attending Spokane Falls Community College where he competed in javelin and hammer throw. 

He is a sociology major.
