PRINEVILLE — Pendleton’s Reilly Hegarty went on a birdie streak before making the turn at Meadow Lakes Golf Course on Thursday and held on for a share of the title at nine-team Crook County Invite.

Hegarty started his round with two bogeys, but birdied the 5th, 7th and 8th holes to make the turn at one-under par.

He finished one over with a 73, as did Bend’s Max McGee, who birdied the 5th and 15th.

Bend won the team title with a score of 302 and the Buckaroos placed second with 318. Hermiston was third (328) and host Crook County was fourth (329).

Keegan Crafton led the Bulldogs with a 76 that earned him a tie for fifth place. He was shooting even par through 14 holes.
