HERMISTON?- The Hodgen Distributing Red Bulls continued to dominate at the Hermiston Tournament Saturday.

After opening with a 15-0 win over Stanfield, the Red Bulls outlasted a plucky Devin Oil team in a 14-5 game that ended after six due to time limit.

In their evening game Devin Oil rebounded to beat Grant Union 7-4 wit hsix strikeouts from Travis Bratton.

Pilot Rock's Travis Copeland earned the win for Hodgen in Game 1, holding the Stanfield batters to three hits before relinquishing the mound to Robby Perry in the seventh.

Against Devin Oil, of Hermiston, Hodgen scored six runs to lead the game off but Devin Oil refused to roll over as they at least kept the game interesting at 8-4 through two.

But the Red Bulls took advantage of the Heat's young roster and steadily pulled away.

Logan Whitten experienced some control issues on the mound for the Red Bulls, hitting three batsmen, but kept his composure to finish four innings before Jackson Huth came on to throw scoreless fifth and sixth innings.

Kolby Haliewitz hit three doubles in the game for Hodgen while Gabe Rowe added two doubles and a home run and John Mitchell hit a home run. Tate Gabriel hit a home run for Devin Oil.

Against Grant Union, Jeremy Holden hit a two-run single in the fifth that broke open the game for the Heat.

Devin Oil will play Umatilla today at 8 a.m. and Hodgen will play Grant Union today at 1 p.m.
