LA GRANDE - La Grande Rain Roofing swept a doubleheader from Hodgen Distributing Tuesday, winning the first game 5-4 in 10 innings and coming back to take a 7-2 five-inning decision in the nightcap. Both teams agreed to play just five innings in the second game because of the length of the first game.

Distributors' coach Tim Cary was happy with the pitching performances the team received from Ryan Reid, Josh McKinstry and Tyler Schachtsick.

"All-in-all I was pleased with all three of our pitchers," he said. "I thought we played well defensively, but I was a little disappointed with how we swung the bats. We had trouble getting going."

Dusty Alberts had a pair of doubles and an RBI in the first game, with Tony Gailey adding an RBI triple.

One of the biggest problems the Distributors faced was football camp, which left the team with just nine players.

"It took a while for us to leave Pendleton but we found nine guys," Cary said. "We're putting some guys in different spots and they're getting to learn some new positions. They're having fun."

The Distributors travel to The Dalles for a doubleheader today.
