PENDLETON — The annual Birch Creek Invitational couples tournament was held over the weekend at Pendleton Country Club.

Seventy-eight golfers converged on the course for two days of competition, which featured a different format each day.

Saturday’s two-person chapman format was won by Ken and Beccy Kramer of La Grande. They shot a 73 to win the gross title.

Right behind them were last year’s champions as Pendleton’s Kevin Hegeman and Nancy Brown finished second in the gross field with a 74.

Mike and Mary Pat Long of Richland, Wash., won the net title by shooting a handicap-adjusted 58.

In Sunday’s six-person scramble format, the winning team was Keith and Stephanie Williams of La Grande, Pete and Darlene Barber of The Dalles, and Brad and Lisa Hagerman of Echo. They combined to shoot a 58.

Bob and Naomi Fulgham of Walla Walla won the putting contest and Casey and Kylee Evans of Pendleton won the sole survivor competition.
