The Class 4A boys and girls basketball teams were announced earlier this week.

Senior Mark Carollo of Hermiston was named to the boys honorable mention squad and Pendleton's Mackenzie Larson was named to the girls honorable mention team.

Larson, a sophomore, played a vital role in helping the Buckaroos advance to the Class 4A semifinals. She was named the to the Intermountain Conference first-team squad and was also the East Oregonian all-area most valuable player.

Carollo led the Intermountain Conference in scoring this past season and was also named to the IMC first team.

Junior Jillian Harmon was named the 4A girls player of the year and her coach Gary Lavender was named the coach of the year. The IMC's player of the year, Darcee Perdue of Redmond was named to the all-state first team.

Senior Jeremiah Doming-uez was named the boys player of the year and he helped South Salem claim the title. South Salem head coach Rick Havercroft was named the coach of the year.

Redmond senior Maarty Leunen, who was named the IMC player of the year on the boys side and was named to the all-state first team.
