UNION — Mac-Hi sophomore Riley Chester won the Special District 4 tournament on Tuesday at Buffalo Peak Golf Course in Union and will represent the Pioneers at the Class 4A state championships.

He was the only Pioneer to qualify for state, and did so with a two-round score of 78-88—166.

La Grande senior Craig Wallace was second with a 84-84—168.

Baker won the team title and La Grande was second.

The state tournament will be held at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks on May 18-19.
