KNAPPA — The Stanfield Tigers football team saw action at Knappa Saturday suffering a season ending loss by the score of 45-8.

Corey Baros had a great effort running for 105 yards on 14 carries.

Quinn Grogan also ran for 50 hard yards on 17 carries.

Quarterback Derek Monkus threw the ball 19 times completing six of those for 57 yards and one interception.

“This is the first time since 1950 that we’ve had two winning seasons in a row,” said coach Jay Zwiefelhofer. “We had a strong group of seniors who worked hard all season.  Their effort and leadership took us where we are.”

Coach Zwieflhofer said the future is looking good for the Tigers, “We have three offensive and four defensive returners with a solid group of underclassmen coming up.”
