VANCOUVER, Wash. —The Eastern Oregon University men’s cross country team matched top runner Damion Flores with a fifth-place finish at the NAIA?National Championships Saturday.

Flores finished in 25 minutes flat to make a podium finish in fifth while Forrest Lumpry was second on EOU’s team in 34th at 25:55.

Rounding out the team were Justin Dean (69th, 26:30), Ryan Booth (77th, 26:37), Hermiston’s Terry Johnsen (91st, 26:46), Isaac Updike (92nd, 26:46) and Kody Coxen (132nd,27:40).

The NAIA’s No. 1-ranked Southern Oregon captured its first-ever national team title.
