CHENEY, Wash. — Ali Gibson scored 21 points and Patricia Bright added 14, all in the second half, as Oregon State beat Eastern Washington 74-60 on Tuesday night.

Thais Pinto had 13 points and Earlysia Marchbanks added nine points, eight assists and seven rebounds for the Beavers, who are 5-0 for the first time since 2000-01.

Brianne Ryan scored 22 points and Chene Cooper had 11 points and nine assists for the Eagles (2-2).

Trailing by 16 early, Eastern Washington clawed within 54-49 after a 3-pointer from Ryan with 11:41 left. But Oregon State responded with a 16-3 run capped by Bright's basket inside to pull away.

Oregon State threatened to put Eastern Washington away early. Leading 23-18 midway through the first half, the Beavers scored 11 straight points, capped by five in a row from Marchbanks, and grabbed a 34-18 lead. Eastern Washington cut it to 38-29 at the break.
