PENDLETON — The Pendleton Buckaroos got off a three-game slide in convincing fashion, though it didn’t start that way against The Dalles Wahtonka Eagle Indians on Tuesday in Columbia River Conference play.

Junior middle hitter Xayna Robinson got five of her team-high eight kills in the first set as the Bucks (3-6, 2-3 CRC)?were finally able to finish off the Eagle Indians (2-6-1, 0-5 CRC)?28-26.

The Bucks then used a strong serve game and seven aces to help put away the Eagle Indians 25-16 in the second set.

Shea Lindsey and Robinson each had two aces in the set while Rayne Spencer, Kasidee Lemberger and Courtney Schumaker-Sweek added one apiece. Amanda Fowler led the team with two kills in that set.

The third set was dominated by Shelby Sanders at the net as she came up with five kills in the Bucks’ 25-19 win.

Amanda Fowler added three kills to tie Robinson for the match lead with eight total.

Lindsey led Pendleton with 21 assists in the match, Sanders finished with six kills, Schumaker-Sweek had a team-high 10 digs and Robinson led them with three aces.

Pendleton continues CRC?play on Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. game at Hermiston.
