PENDLETON - The 16th annual Pendleton Round-Up Foundation Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Monday, Sept. 13, at Wildhorse Resort Golf Course with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

The tournament features many of the contestants in town for the Pendleton Round-Up as they help raise money for the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. To date, the tournament has raised nearly $80,000 for the fund.

"We're pleased with the support we get for this tourna- ment," said Butch Thurman, Round-Up publicity director. "I know it's been popular with the cowboys and I think they will enjoy the challenge of this beautiful course."

The tournament was established in 1990 in memory of Mike Currin, Dave P. Smith, David Bowen and Randy Dierlam. The four cowboys and pilot Bob Card were killed in a plane crash July 4 on Mount Rainier as they were traveling to a rodeo in Ponoka, Alberta. The tournament is limited to the first 144 golfers. To enter, call the Wildhorse Pro Shop at 276-5588.

For more information, call tournament director J.J. Ford at 276-1511.
