In Union, the Pilot Rock Rockets (6-1)?continued to dominate at the Union Tournament Saturday with another big performance from starting pitcher Renee Mulcare.

Mulcare was in complete control of the game and allowed just two hits for her third shutout win. Mulcare (4-1) has only allowed one earned run in her five decisions.

"She worked hard in the offseason and she's developed a couple more pitches to add to her repetoire,"?said Rockets coach Rick Hoisington. "They're working pretty well for her right now."

Mulcare was 3-for-3 at the plate in the game and Kylee Reed, Amylee Perrine, Piper Carstens and Kylee Jensen each added a pair of hits.

"We felt good about the win. Right now we're just hitting the ball well and starting to gel on defense," Hoisington said.

Pilot Rock will continue preseason play Tuesday by hosting Riverside.
