Bucks team with Pure Advantage for boys’ basketball camp

PENDLETON?— The Pendleton boys’ basketball program is teaming with Matt Conboy of Pure Advantage Basketball to put on a camp for incoming 2nd-8th graders on June 5-7 at Pendleton High School’s Warberg Court.

The camp will run from 5-7 p.m. each night. Cost is $40.

Conboy, who has coached players from third grade to professionals, will teach campers ball handling, shooting and passing fundementals while the PHS?boys’ basketball staff provides more specialized instruction.

Equestrian state finals free for all

REDMOND?— The Oregon high school equestrian state championship meet will be held at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond on May 16-19.

Competition begins each day at 8 a.m. and admission is free for spectators and vendors.

There will be approximately 550 riders competing from 100 schools representing the eight districts in the state of Oregon.

A?tack sale will be taking place simultaneously to the meet and will benefit the Deschutes County 4-H horse program.
