PENDLETON — Twenty-eight players came out to support Pendleton Country Club’s effort to raise money for the Folds of Honor Foundation at their annual Patriot Best Ball Tournament on Saturday.

Players were grouped into foursomes and the tournament needed two extra holes to crown it’s winning team.

Two teams went into the first playoff hole at 25-under par using a two-net best ball format.

The team of Dean Griffith, Corey Griffith, Rocky Britt and Bob Gray emerged on top after shooting a two-under on the second playoff hole.

In second place was the team of Kyle Garrett, Fred Phillips, Joel Gilliland and Derek Primus.

At 23-under par in third place was the team of Micah Wells, Carl Peterson, Brian Currin and Kurt Hendrix.

So far this year Pendleton Country Club has raised more than $530 for Folds of Honor, which is a non-profit organization that provides support to family members of U.S. soldiers who are injured or killed in the line of duty.
